Fees & Costs
Here's a breakdown of the fees you might encounter when using Pays Wallet.
Network Fees
Every transaction on a blockchain requires a small fee paid to the network. This is often called gas. Network fees go to the validators who process and secure transactions, not to Pays Wallet.
How Much Are Network Fees?
On the Layer 2 networks Pays Wallet supports (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon), network fees are typically very low - often just a few cents per transaction. The exact fee depends on network demand at the time.
Where Do I See Network Fees?
Network fees are always shown on the confirmation screen before you approve a transaction. You'll never be charged a network fee without seeing it first.
What Do I Need for Network Fees?
You need a small amount of ETH (or the native gas token of the network) in your wallet to pay network fees. If you don't have enough, the app will let you know before you try to send.
Pays Fees
When Pays charges for a transaction, the app labels it as a Pays fee before you confirm. You'll always see the fee amount and the total transaction outcome upfront.
Swaps
When you swap tokens, the Pays fee is included in the quote shown before you confirm. The price you see on the confirmation screen is the price you pay.
Deposits
When you deposit fiat via bank transfer, any applicable Pays fee is disclosed during account creation. The amount you deposit is converted to USDC automatically.
Withdrawals
When you withdraw to your bank account, the Pays fee is shown on the confirmation screen before you approve. The total amount you'll receive is clearly displayed.
Virtual Card Fees
Card usage and top-up fees, if any, are managed through Gnosis Pay and are disclosed during the card setup and usage process.
No Hidden Fees
Pays Wallet is committed to transparency. You'll always see the full cost of any transaction before you confirm it. We don't charge hidden fees, monthly subscriptions, or account maintenance charges.
